* Assist and encourage new members to obtain a firearm licence.
* Pass on the skills required for the safe use and storage of firearms.
* Provide an enjoyable social environment to learn and practice.
* Facilitate greater understanding between sporting shooters and the general community.
* Keep members informed about state and federal legislation relating to ownership, storage and use of firearms.
* Help preserve the natural bush environment and preserve native animal species.
* Assist rural communities in managing feral animals and in the removal of pest animal species from state forests.
* Conduct NSW Restricted Game Licence testing.
* Conduct Long Arms and Pistol safety awareness training and testing.
